Baby doc

Well today we had our 6 month ck up, even though they are 8 months lol. I had to put the appt on hold for a bit because our insurance changed and we owed the doc some money (because our previous insurance wouldn't pay for all of their shots). So now we are all paid off and our insurance is switched, so today we had a visit.

Well first, Olivia weighs exactly 18lbs and Sarah weighs 18lb 4 oz. BIG OLE BABIES! They are 28 and 26 inches long, respectively. SArah is heavier, but Olivia is longer lol. They are perfectly healthy too :-) Growing just as they should be.
They did both have to get 4 shots though, which was just pitiful. But they recovered rather well, as soon as I picked them up they were fine for the most part. One of the shots was a flu shot, and they have to go back in a month to get a second shot.

That's about it for the visit.

Update, very much needed!

So much has happened lately. The babies are just getting cuter and more adorable by the second!

Tonight has been a particularly rough one. Sarah is teething in full force! She has woken up twice tonight, and both times her scream was so piercing that it woke up Olivia, who is also teething btw. The first time Sarah woke up she was just completely inconsolable with the most heart wrenching cry ever. Thankfully I heard about these teething tablets that are magical. They are a homeopathic remedy. They are really small tablets that dissolve under their tongues and in like 30 seconds flat the babies feel fine again. Tonight they were a God send that is for sure.
So Sarah has two teeth right now that are actually visible. I haven't been able to capture a picture of them just yet but as soon as I can I will absolutely post it! I think she might be working on some top teeth right now. She's been a real pill today.
Olivia is working on some teeth too, although she hasn't cut any yet. I feel so badly for her poor lil mouth.

What else here. Well the girls have started eating 'real' food. They love saltine crackers, graham crackers, working on cheerios, mashed up banana, peas and carrots, butternut squash, green beans, macaroni and cheese, cheese sticks, mashed potatoes, yogurt, etc. They will eat anything really, with the exception of cottage cheese. They DO NOT like it what so ever. I tried mixing it with fruit but they still weren't having it. They like pretty much anything else though. It's such a fun time.

In other news, the girls are so much more aware of each other. They actually kind of play together now. It's seriously adorable. In the mornings I bring one out to the living room, and then the other (because I can't really hold both of them at the same time anymore) and when they see each other they both laugh and smile at each other. Olivia crawls right over to Sarah, and will sit near her. They don't particularly like being apart either. I feel like they miss each other sometimes.

Speaking of Olivia crawling, she is now also pulling herself up on EVERYTHING. Every morning when I go in to her room she is standing in her crib waiting for me. I love it. She also kind of puts her arms up wanting me to pick her up.
She loves to crawl all over me too. If I am near her on the floor she comes right over and crawls up me. It's so fun, although it makes it rather difficult to accomplish anything. I went ahead a bought a few pairs of shoes for the girls because A. they are adorable, and B. Olivia stands on her toes mainly so I thought it would help her if she had shoes on to stand flat footed. All of the summer stuff is on sale here so I've gotten some really good deals on clothes and shoes. I'm going to have to post some pics of them in shoes and some of the lil outfits I've gotten them lately. It's freaking adorable, let me just say.

That is all I can think of right now. I better get to bed, tomorrow is going to be difficult! Looks for more pics!

I suck!

OK, so it's been a while since I've posted.

#1 Olivia can crawl crawl crawl as you can see from the previous video that Chris posted.

#2 Sarah has a tooth! It's quite sharp and made her a lil irritable for about a week but it's there now! She's got another one trying to make it's way through. Tylenol works wonders for her. I am going to get these things called teething tablets or something like that which are apparently magical when it comes to relieving teething pains. We shall see!

#3 Olivia is def workin on a tooth herself. Poor thing!

#4 Sarah is PISSED that she can't crawl around like Olivia. She gets very annoyed and starts kicking her legs like a crazy baby trying to move her body. She's makin progress though. It won't be too long now.

#5 I am more in love with them today than I have ever been. They are just the sweetest little baby girls on the planet!

#6 (5 was going to be my last one but I just thought of this) Olivia...is a little bit of a toy thief. Anything, and I mean ANYTHING Sarah has Olivia wants. Her bottle, a toy, a diaper, a paci, food, it doesn't matter. Olivia will try to get it. Unfortunately for Sarah, Olivia can just over and take it and there isn't much Sarah can do. However Sarah has started screaming at Olivia and if she can she'll try to kick her. haha. This is happens especially when Olivia will try to take Sarah's bottle. It's funny. I am trying to teach Olivia about boundaries lol or at least the word 'no' I do try to say ' no thank you' instead of a flat out no just so that its not so negative and meanish.

Ok, this is the end of my blog. It's time for bed. We are off to the zoo tomorrow with a group of Moms! Woo hoo!
