Well, it's been too long since I've updated. Seems like life has been a whirlwind lately, and I feel like I've been on survival mode.
So we made our trip to Florida. It was good to see my parents and have my Dad and Chris' Dad FINALLY meet the babies. I don't really have much to say about the trip. It was kind of a difficult one. My mom's appendix ruptured and she had to have emergency surgery while we were there so the second half of my trip was kind of scary. The flight there wasn't too bad but the flight back was hard. We had a lay over in Austin TX, and it was kind of chaotic but the babies did pretty well. I think it was harder on me than them haha. They are still adjusting to AZ time and our schedule here. My house is still a wreck and I can't seem to find the motivation to clean it up.
While we were in Florida Olivia rolled over from her back to her belly for the first time! It was very exciting :-) She was grunting and trying so hard. She also started the beginnings of crawling. She's been trying to get her legs underneath her while she's on her belly. She manages to kind of scoot forward a little bit, but it takes A LOT of effort on her part. It's really cute.
Father's Day was really great. Chris' parents were in town for the morning, but flew off to Vegas after church. It was nice to have his Dad here even for just the morning of Father's day. Church was nice, then Chris got to come home after and just lay down and chill. Then I made him a spaghetti dinner and a cake. The older girls made him a cute little craft and EVERYONE got him a card too :-) It was a good father's day for him.
I'm not sure when we'll make another trip. I was hoping for a possible Thanksgiving visit but due to finances (which are not good since I've stopped working), and how hard the trip was on all of us I'm not too sure about it.
It's interesting that since I've had my babies, more and more I feel connected to AZ. I have great doctors, I know lots of other people who are in the same place in life that I am in (since I've had kids), and I feel more happy here every day. I still don't see myself living here for the rest of my life, I'll always be an East Coast Girl haha, but I'm starting to feel like it's not that horrible. I'm glad to start building some roots here.
