Well we sure had a busy busy weekend!
Saturday we went to a friends house, Jen and Andy. Coincidently, they had their baby girl Emily 2 days before we had our baby girls. They also have a little boy CJ, who is 3 1/2. They live a good 30 minutes north of here, so we loaded up (I brought a bunch of baby stuff because we are usually there for a good 4-5 hours so I needed to be prepared!) and headed out. I think Ave had the best time out of all of us, she just turned 4 so her and CJ had a blast together. She asked me today if we could go to CJ's house again soon. The babies did really well, they got to play on the playmat with little Emily and shared her swing. They have a crazy awesome swing that goes side to side with a mobile and sounds. Both my girls loved it and fell right to sleep in it! We ended up staying for about 5 hours, 4pm - 9pm. It was a long night for all of us!
Then Sunday Chris took the big girls to church and the babies and I stayed home because I was hosting a baby shower at CITD later that day and I thought church AND the baby shower would be a bit much considering the day we had before. My friend Emily (and Mike) is who the shower was for, she is exactly 20 weeks behind me due at the end of June with her first baby (a girl Madelyn). The shower was great, they got some awesome gifts and my decorations were really cute (if I do say so myself). It was the first baby shower I had ever given and it was a lot of fun.
Now, the subject line. As the host I was kind of running around and helping move the gifts out of the way after they had opened them up, making sure we had enough food, etc etc. The babies were being passed around, as usual, and Olivia had fallen asleep so I laid her down in the stroller. Well she had woken up but was quite content playing. I was keeping my eye on her but I was across the room looking over everyone, and what did I see??
She FOUND HER TOES!! Yes. I looked over and she had grabbed her toes and was just staring at them! It was so cute. So I immediately ran over and she had let go by then, and actually hasn't played with them since but still. It was her first time grabbing them on her own! So cute so cute!! She's so adorable.
Then yesterday our whole family went to the park. We actually just found this park recently, it's very close to our house. We had a little picnic while the babies slept. Then Ave and Rosa played a little bit. We took some pictures after the babies woke up and then we headed home. There was a picnic table under the shade and it felt quite nice. There was a bit of a breeze which helped also. That is one thing about summer here in AZ, if you can find some shade even if it's like 107 degrees out, it doesn't feel too bad. We ended the day with some volleyball at CITD.
Tomorrow is Rosa's last day of school, she has a kindergarten graduation in the morning :-) Next week is Vacation Bible School at CITD and the week after that I'll be in FLORIDA!! Well, Ave wants me to put a movie in so I'm out!

My big girls!
We had a doctor's visit today! The girls are so darn big big big!!
Olivia weighs in at 12 lbs 14 oz.
Sarah weighs in at 12 lbs 9 oz. She has just about TRIPLED her birth weight!!!!
It was a fairly uneventful visit. They both had to get 4 shots though which was pitiful!!
The doc said Olivia's head is too flat in the back and if it's still that flat around 6-9 months then he would refer us to a specialist. Basically she'd have to get a helmet that like shapes her head. It's purely cosmetic and not all insurances cover it AND it would just be pitiful! So we shall see.
We also asked about the fact that they are spitting up ALOT! He said to add some rice cereal to the formula and that it should help. He also said their growth looks fine and they are too old for the really bad problems that could be causing the spit up. So basically it's not a big deal other than the mess. So that was comforting!
Well Ave and Rosa want to go swimming, so I will update more later!

Belly Laughs
So today Sarah laughed her first big ole belly laugh! She was laying in the pack n play kind of giggling while Chris and I were standing over her talking to her. Then she just started laughing for real! Chris said, "I've never seen her laugh like that" and I said, "That's because it's her first time!" Then we just kept trying to make her laugh more. The girls are funny because they have to be a really good mood to laugh and giggle. Otherwise they just seem to have no expression lol.
Well that is all.
Well that is all.
